Alchemandrake
Game Overview
Alchemandrake is a short 3D adventure survival game where players play as a Mandrake exploring the island to find a place to sprout into the great Yggdrasil Tree.
This is a small project based on systemic design, therefore not much polish was done on UI.
Game Mechanics

Summon the alchemy circle and combine different materials and discover
recipes as you explore! -
Walking around and alchemising consumes mana, which can be replenished
by mana flowers. -
Mandrake is able to fertilise itself to sprout into new mana flowers in order
to manage mana resource.

- Mana will be in forms of lily bulbs -

- Consists of two spaces for the ingredients and middle for the product. -
Book UI
- A journal book icon to show the recipes and guide.
UI Implementation

Mana UI
The mana flower UI is the alchemy staff that the Mandrake carries. There are a total of 4 bulbs and mana is depleted from top to bottom according to the intensity of glow each bulb has.

Alchemy UI
The Alchemy UI only appears when the alchemy button is pressed. There will be two slots where selected ingredients will be placed. If the combo works, the product will be shown in the middle of the book.



Book UI
A journal book to contain learnt recipe information as well as player guides such as goal and controls. Learnt recipes describe the type of ingredients required and its usage.
